While we work with a variety of hardwood species, the majority of our production is based on European Oak.
Having worked with oak from across the continent, we chose to focus on Ukrainian Oak due to its consistent colour, refined grain, and overall natural beauty — qualities that make it ideal for both modern and traditional interiors.
Sawmill in Ukraine
We are fully invested in a sawmill located in the Kyiv region of Ukraine, giving us a direct and consistent source of sustainable European Oak.
At the start of the partnership, one of Woodland Floors’ owners relocated to the site to help develop both product standards and local expertise — creating a strong, long-term working relationship.
This setup allows us to maintain a reliable supply chain and tighter control over colour and quality, in contrast to larger producers who source timber from multiple regions across Europe, often resulting in greater variation.
